A lakeside house should feel like the water is part of the room. This one did not, so the plan was reworked to put the view at the centre of everyday life.
Spaces flow into one another without losing definition, and the material palette stays quiet so the light off the lake does the decorating. Modern sophistication, held in check by the serenity of the setting.
