A restrictive floor plan opened into a multi-zone kitchen where light, movement and modern detailing finally work together.
The kitchen and laundry had been the worst rooms in the house for years, and the family had quietly organized their lives around avoiding them.
Both were taken back and redesigned together, so the laundry stopped being an afterthought and the kitchen finally got the storage, light and work surface it had always lacked. The client interview from this project is one of the clearest accounts of what experiential design actually changes.
